Core Principle
Fosters are matched to placements based on their certified level of behavioral fluency. Compensation eligibility scales with complexity and is introduced as the platform grows, placement volume increases, and funding partnerships are established.
Compensation eligibility is tied directly to certification level. Higher levels reflect greater skill, higher-complexity placements, and greater impact on outcomes.

Rate and terms set individually based on dog's needs, care requirements, and foster's verified competency.
Compensation may be adjusted based on:

Certification does not guarantee placement access or compensation.
Placement decisions are always based on the dog's needs, the foster's verified competency level, household environment, and current platform and rescue partnerships.
Compensation never overrides placement decisions.
Dogs are matched based on demonstrated capability, environment, and behavioral fit — not financial incentive. Compensation is a sustainability tool, not a reward for taking more dogs.
Foster compensation is based on care provided and is not dependent on placement permanence. Fosters are compensated for their time, consistency, and contribution regardless of whether a placement results in long-term adoption.
Optional placement bonuses may be included to reward successful outcomes without incentivizing rushed or inappropriate matches.
In the event of a return:
- • Compensation already earned is not rescinded
- • The dog's profile is updated based on new information
- • Placement strategy is reassessed
